PSD system consists of various types doors which are installed in a station platform. The sliding doors are installed corresponding to the stopped train’s doors. And the sliding doors are controlled (open / close) interlocking with the train doors.
If PSD system is installed, there will be several benefits in the train’s environment.
① Safety of passenger: PSD system can restrict passengers on the platform to not to access the trackside when the train is absent because all the doors are closed.
② Operation of the train is optimized . Acc Accessing time of train to the platform is shortened because boarding and alighting of passengers are proceeding efficiently.
③ Total service of the train operating system is increased. In accordance with 1st and 2nd clause, the train of the entire route can provide on-time service.
